We’re meeting in person presently. Please feel free to wear masks at any time.
We’ve started “Garment Sewing Group on the Go” for our Wednesday meetings to expose ourselves to other stores. Supporting the local garment fabric stores seems even more important after our year of Covid online shopping.
To help those of us that feel our stash of fabric has grown larger than we like, we hold a Fabric Swap at our Thursday First Sewing Group meeting. You are free to bring stash or take “new to you” stash home-for free.
Garment Sewing Group is a monthly meeting featuring garments, pattern modification and review, and the latest news in the sewing world. You will be provided with tips, techniques and new ideas that are sure to inspire you. Current fashion, chic wear, proper fit, and children’s wear are some of the topics we will explore. Whether you are an experienced sewist (and you’ve been quilting while waiting for something like this:) or just beginning – this club is for you! Bring Show and Tell for a chance to win a door prize.
You may attend any scheduled Group meeting during the month in which you have paid. Group meetings will only be cancelled in extreme cases (bad weather, no electricity…).
Fee for Garment Sewing Group is $10. Your first meeting is free!
Please register/pay using the buttons below. You may attend one or all meetings in a month and only pay for one.

Thank you for coming to Garment Sewing Group!
Hello,
Sorry I don’t see a contact us. I plan on taking the Serger class at Treadle in September. I do not currently own a serger, but have figured out that I need one for the type of fabrics that I would like to sew.
Are there certain brands and models that you recommend?
Do you recommend a machine with the cover chain stitch or one where you need to buy that separately?
A pricier machine it fine, as long as the quality lives up the tag 🙂
Thanks!
Jennifer
