Sew Expo-Puyallup

The beginning of March was gloriously spent at the Sew Expo in Puyallup, WA. It was a fantastic trip-filled with lots of sewing, family and friends. Here are a few snapshots from the event. Enjoy!

Fashion Sewing Club Starts This Saturday!

FSC kicks off this Saturday, Mar. 9th at Treadle! Come out and get your sewing fix and tons of inspiration. And our Outside the Big 4 Box class (all about indie patterns and how to work with them) will be held from 1-3 pm after Club meeting.

Here’s some inspiration from last month’s attendees. Enjoy!

Bring it on! We’ll be at Treadle today-

We’re guessing that if you are still in Minnesota, you’d like a good excuse to drive in this, OK, messy, winter weather. We’re tired of staring at the same four walls so we’ll be at Treadle for Fashion Sewing Club at 10:30, Outside the Big 4 Box at 1:30, After School at 4:15 (as long as St. Paul schools don’t close) and we’ll even hang around for our 6:30 Fashion Sewing Club unless the snow doesn’t quit as predicted.

Please use your best judgment in making your decision to come or not. This isn’t a challenge and the only prize is great and inspiring people and garments-aka show and tell-you, our best inspiration!

Whatever you decide, we hope you have a great day!

Upcoming Calendar

Barring unforeseen snowstorms, Fashion Sewing Club for February will start on Tuesday, Feb. 12 and continue at SR Harris on Thursday-back to Treadle on Saturday, Feb. 16. Hope you can join us!

Do you notice the new format of the webpage? Thanks to my son, and father of my newest grandchild, the webpage should function more smoothly. There will be glitches as I learn my way around the website so always let me know if something looks funny (thanks, Cindy!).

Happy New Year!!!

The tasks from 2018 are caught up-well at least as far as the website is concerned-classes, Fashion Sewing Club pages, etc. We are all busy sewing for January (first Club meeting is Tuesday, January 8th!)

But I wanted to take some time to highlight last month’s patterns and show and tell-

The “north of 60” and “south of 60” version of a patterned ponte. Neither knew what the other was sewing!!
