I know-it’s June-I’m playing catch up…
Really wonderful seeing all of you wearing or showing your latest accomplishments!

Sewing Workshop

Thursday, June 8, 6:30 at JoAnn-Edina
Saturday, June 10, 10:30 at Treadle
Tuesday, June 13, 10:30 at Treadle
(June classes are listed at end of post)
We’ve sent our reminder emails and mentioned making a garment bag-

If you want to make a garment bag:
You’ll need to come to Fashion Sewing Club ☺
We won’t finish them all on one day. We were hoping to get patterns cut out and bias binding cut and demonstrated.
If you just want to watch/get directions and trace a pattern of your own, bring your favorite tracing paper.
We made ours out of oilcloth or laminated cotton/linen. It keeps things dry and out of the snow in winter. You may make yours out of any fabric desired.
Supplies needed:
Oilcloth or laminated cotton (Treadle has oilcloth and laminated cotton, choices at Joann are more limited)
From oilcloth you will need :
one rectangle 42”x24.5”
two rectangles 42”x12”
two rectangles 50”x 3”
Total yardage will vary depending on one way designs and width of fabric
One zipper 30-40” long-nice to have a stop at both ends but not mandatory-they can be hard to find-Sew Trendy has some but we can’t get them till next week
One half yard of cotton which will make 333” of continuous bias binding
A pocket is optional
Thread
For this month, you won’t need the zipper
Thursday Club we’ll stay till 8
Saturday we’ll stay till noonish
Tuesday we have a full class starting at 1

Cutting Line Fashion Show: Fashion Show for Ideas
Louise Cutting says: “Timeless and Modern. Isn’t that how we all want to look? See how one garment in a single pattern can take you in so many fashionable directions.”
Fun show. Great fabrics. Good fashion. They custom-sewed over 100 pieces for these four models (one of whom was 6’2″) in three months!

The rest of the show plus one funky new sewing clock for my sewing room…
